             "Your 
              mother and I are only a telephone call away if you need anything." 
              Surely you can remember the feelings of excitement and uncertainty 
              that filled your gut the day you first set foot on campus. And as 
              you read on, nervous freshmen, like this one receiving some last-minute 
              advice from her father during the 1980s, are unpacking, settling 
              in, and hoping to make it through so that they may one day join
