Back to the Garden

Looking a little like garden statuary themselves, three students in Visual Arts 201, Introductory Drawing, were concentrating on sketching the flora in Prospect Garden on a late October day. Jessica Herling, center, a sophomore from Philadelphia who also performs with Triangle, explains that she took the course just to learn to draw. "I needed an outlet as an artist," she said. Behind her are Crystal Barnes '03, framing her drawing in her mind's eye, and Elizabeth Rush '04.
