            Into the Real World
            by Daria Karp '01
            TV came to Princeton
on February 15 to hold a casting call for the latest edition of
its popular series The Real World. One of television's first reality
shows, the 10-year-old program selects a group of twenty-somethings,
sets them up in an apartment, and films their lives and interactions.
The Princeton casting call drew a crowd of hopefuls, including Rakesh
Satyal '02 (left, in glasses) and Cameron Siewert '03. Siewert was
late for precept and didn't stick around for the audition, but Satyal
persevered and was rewarded with a callback. "I have always enjoyed
watching the show, and I thought that it would be a neat opportunity
to go to the audition," Satyal says. "Of course, I didn't expect
to be called back, but I was so excited when it happened. I just
thought it would be a neat story to tell if I went, but now it's
even more interesting." Satyal should find out in a few months if
              he made the cut.
