Paint,
stand and cheer for the Ivy Champs
by Frank Wojciechowski
Princeton's normally
sedate student body did its best impression of Duke's fabled Cameron
Crazies during the Princeton-Penn men's basketball game on Tuesday,
March 6, in Jadwin Gym. Princeton won convincingly, 68Ñ52, clinching
a most unlikely Ivy League championship and a trip to the NCAA tournament,
and inspiring the delirious student crowd to begin chanting, "We
want Stanford! We want Stanford!" While the Tigers didn't draw the
top-ranked Cardinal, they came close; they faced former number one
University of North Carolina on March 16 in New Orleans.
