The 1969 Bric-a-Brac
gives no clue as to the identities of these students or why they were
assembled with such seriousness. Only the following verse accompanies this and
other photos on the same page: “Unity antithesis,/frozen-mask
faces/ in the ongoing crowd;/ angry, peaceless at/ hackneyed ways at/
mink clichés ... ” The mustachioed student in the foreground
is wearing a tag on his jacket that reads “Trustee” and a
partially obscured button on his bowler that reads “Better Dead
than ... ” Can any PAW readers name these Princetonians or the
event they were attending?
