A letter from an alumnus about the President's Letter in the January 29, 2003, issue

I find it interesting and a bit curious to read about a typical day in the life of a senior professor, in this case Professor Anthony Grafton.

It's interesting and curious because the article reminds me of the article on Princeton's valedictorian from last year.

Professor Grafton works from 5:30 a.m to midnight and appears almost constantly busy. Perhaps the faculty and the students are not so different in their work habits and mindsets?
