J. Stapleton Roy '56
vs. Donald Rumsfeld '54
PAW reports Woodrow Wilson
Award winner J. Stapleton Roy '56 calling for a less aggressive,
more collegial foreign policy on the part of the U.S., based on
his 40-plus years experience in our diplomatic corps and his reading
of the world today. The New York Times reports that Donald Rumsfeld
'54, our new secretary of defense, is collecting a hard-line group
of advisers to prevail on President Bush, a man inexperienced in
foreign affairs. Would it be possible for Princeton in the nation's
service to bring the diplomat and the warrior together in a public
forum?
