While I grew up near  Worcester, Massachusetts, my parents and I went to Boston regularly for culcha.  This is a work in progress, but here are some suggestions for those who plan to visit Boston.

The gateway to the Boston Globe and Boston Online both good sources of information.  While there is the Museum of Fine Arts, I enjoy a couple of smaller art museums.  The Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum is a jewel, notable for both its artwork and its home. The Fogg Art Museum is small, and often has interesting shows.

For music, you can try the Boston Symphony Orchestra  or the Pops.  During the school year, there are many offerings at area colleges and universities, including the New England Conservatory and the Harvard-Radcliffe Gilbert & Sullivan Players

On a fine day, you can visit the Arnold Arboretum, Mount Auburn Cemetery or visit one of the many parks run by the Commonwealth.  You can also visit "Old Ironsides" or take one of the Boston Harbor Cuises.

I am a patient person because I grew up a
Boston Redsox fan.

Hotels are expensive in Boston.  We've stayed in a number of larger hotels, but  The Eliot Hotel is a charming small place, located in Back Bay.  The Newbury Guest House is a very affordable bed and breakfast also located in Back Bay.  Their telephone number is 800-437-7668.

Favorite restaurants (in no particular order).  Restaurant names in CAPITAL LETTERS received highest ratings from Zagat's.
