Regina Nejman is a dancer/teacher and choreographer from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and is based in New York City. Since 1993, she has been creating her own choreography and in 1997 formed Regina Nejman & Company. Her work has been presented at Symphony Space Dance Sampler, Joyce Soho, the 2002 New York International Fringe Festival, New York Film Academy, Dance Theater Workshop, Dixon Place, Queens Museum of Art, the Merce Cunningham Studio, and Context Studios.

Regina was on the faculty of NJCU frm 1996-2003 and was a Visiting Artist at Wesleyan University last fall. She has also taught at NYU Common Hour Class, Steps, Peridance, La Guardia Performing Arts School, and at Harvard Summer Dance.

As a dancer Regina performed with Donald Byrd/The Group, Ze'eva Cohen, Des Moines Ballet, and many others. Her work has been described as "funny and imaginative" and praised for its "witty inventiveness" by Jennifer Dunning, The New York Times, and "sexy, tough, and full of spunk" by Tobi Tobias, The Village Voice.

Awards include grants from the Puffin Foundation (1996, 2004), three MCAF grants from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Meet the Composer and space grants from the 92nd Street Y and the Queens Museum of Art.
