Analysis
Plot
your own data in the manner suggested above and also generate plots that
include of the class measurements. From these data list specifications of
the human power-plant that will be of value in designing a bicycle, a human
powered boat or airplane.
Take your heart-rate data and plot it versus
the power output at which it was obtained. What conclusions can you draw?
Take the heat-rate obtained at different times during a constant power output
measurement on the ergometers and plot this as a function of the time in the
run. If you have data for more than one steady state power level, plot all
of the data on the same graph.
How good a power plant are you? Can
you compare yourself to another power source such as an internal combustion
engine or an electric motor? What can you conclude? |
