alloy are shown (etched sample). Each step represents the crack advance
in one stress cycle.
· The crack propagation direction is normal to the striations and from the bottom to the top of the photograph. · The particles shown on the fracture surface are second phase precipitates in the alloy due to its composition and heat treatment. |
